Can I get a work permit in Belize?
A work permit must be obtained by any non-Belizean wishing to pursue employment in Belize. Both the prospective employee and employer must submit an application form to The Department of Labor along with a valid passport and three passport photos of the prospective employee. Self employed individuals may apply in person and must show evidence that funds are available to finance proposed business endeavors. The annual work permit fee ranges from about US$25 for agricultural laborers to US$1,000 for professionals.
